Crimson Silence
Crimson Silence is part of the Southern Lights series and was created within Şennur Üzgen’s distinctive artistic movement, Surrexpressionism.
The work explores the emotional residue left behind by unspoken experiences. A vast crimson atmosphere dominates the composition, dissolving the boundary between inner and outer realities. The landscape becomes less a place than a state of consciousness.
A dark horizon anchors the image, while the reflection beneath introduces a fragile dialogue between memory and presence. These elements create a space where certainty gives way to introspection and emotional depth.
Rather than representing a natural phenomenon, Crimson Silence transforms the language of landscape into a psychological field where silence carries weight and color becomes emotion.
Executed in acrylic on canvas, the painting invites viewers into a contemplative realm shaped by stillness, tension, and the quiet persistence of inner experience.
