You think you’re looking at this painting.

But you’ve already been seen.

Lolita is not a figure.

She is a gaze reversed.

She watches as you assume power—then gently takes it from you.

While you contemplate her,

she judges you in silence.

I didn’t paint her.

I painted the moment you realized

you were the subject.

There’s a smile—half-baked, disarming.

It is not innocence.

It is not guilt.

It is supremacy.

Surrexpressionism is not the expression of feeling.

It is the revolt of feeling.

It is the moment emotion refuses to be interpreted

and begins to interpret you.

Lolita does not hold a mirror.

Because your pupils are her mirror.

She is not reflecting herself—she reflects your gaze.

And you will never know what she truly sees.

When I picked up the brush, I didn’t draw a body.

I drew a will.

I drew back the curtain of assigned femininity

and let her look directly into you.

“Lolita” is not erotic.

She is ironic.

She provokes.

She reclaims.

You think you’re watching a painting.

But she’s already left the room.

Ben bu resmi yapmadım.

O anı, yani “kim kimi gözlüyor” çarpışmasını tuvale hapsettim.

Lolita’nın dudağında yarım kalmış bir gülümseme var.

Ne masum ne suçlu…

Sadece üstün.

Surrexpressionism, duygunun sadece dışavurumu değil, onun tuzaktan kurtulup size geri dönmesidir.
