Nightmare — Artist’s Statement
“Nightmare” questions the invisible boundary between consciousness and instinct. The color fragments on the woman’s face reveal an emotional anatomy, while the wolf symbol on her chest represents the inner animal. When these layers merge, they expose the confrontation with the suppressed self. The figure’s blank gaze is a silent scream — fear, rage, and acceptance coexisting on the same surface. “Nightmare” embodies the essence of Surrexpressionism: a state of awareness where expression meets the logic of dreams.
Kabus — Sanatçı Yorumu
“Kabus”, bilinç ile içgüdü arasındaki görünmez sınırı sorgulayan bir çalışmadır. Kadın figürünün yüzündeki renk alanları duygusal anatomiyi, göğsündeki kurt sembolü ise içsel hayvanı temsil eder. Bu iki katman bir araya geldiğinde, insanın bastırılmış benliğiyle yüzleşmesi ortaya çıkar. Figürün donuk bakışı, sessiz bir çığlık gibidir; korku, öfke ve kabullenme aynı yüzeyde buluşur. “Kabus”, Surrexpressionism’in özünü taşır: dışavurum ile rüya mantığının kesiştiği bir bilinç hâli.
